Hello everybody. Here is another video of what’s happening at PC 911.

Here we have a desktop unit Windows 7 the customer says extremely slow, extremely, extremely slow and yes it is. One of the things you want to take a look at here is our processes that are running. You get that by hitting Ctrl + Alt+ Del. Basically you want to go here to your task manager and you can go here on performance. You could see that we are really not running anything. Basically on the desktop we try running 50/60% of the processor. So that’s one of the things that’s affecting this unit a while ago it was at 100. So basically there are processes running. They are hogging up basically all the CPU usage so there is nothing left for anything that you basically try to run and that’s making the computer slow.

There is a tab here called Processes. If you click on that you can take a look at the use of the CPU. In this case everything is almost at zero to one. So there is something going on there that is not even on this list. Then you could also take a look here at the memory – memory usage. And it is going to show you what programs are using the memory. Windows Explorer, Malware bytes which just finished running. So whatever it is that is hogging all that up its hidden. It’s not showing up in any of these things here as you can see.

So the first thing that we did was to clean up

We know it’s just junk or malware, first thing we do is we is run Malware bytes and this is our scan result of our Malware byte to actually look for more details. Here is the detail for our Malware byte scan and if you look up top here and don’t know if you can see that you got 19 hundred items. Now granted they are not you know Trojan viruses but yes you know they are programs affect your performance. All these PUP stands for Potentially Unwanted Program you can see there Conduit, Delta, PriceGong all these thing are kind of like add ons when you install a program and you inadvertently add all these things on and they affect your performance over the course of time.

So we are going to run our Malware bytes, we are going to run a couple of other scans and then we are actually going to take a look specifically at all the processes running a program called Process Explorer this one here. And this one does get into all the details, gives you way more details than what we are seeing with just the Windows one here and everything comes up. The CPU usage you can see right there so there is something here by Apple so it could be a bad installed program because the top one consuming 50% of the CPU is an Apple product.

So we’ll take a look at that and uninstall that or what have you to do home work but like I said first of all we are going to run you know some scans, we are going to uninstall some programs to just get most of the junk out. And then we’ll kind of fine pick these little items in here. Thanks for watching.
