PC911 working on another power jack
Hey guys, welcome back! We are here again at PC911 and we’re going to do another power jack. We just recently did a video on power jack but this one here is a different situation. Here it looks intact, but for it to work you have to bend it or wiggle it. This power jack is welded on the board so it’s going to be a bit more complicated. We are getting started here taking it apart and this is going to be a full breakdown; taking the whole computer apart. And I am going to show you little by little so you can kind of get an idea of what we are doing over here and if you think about doing something like this at least you will have an idea of the complexity if you want to go into that or not. See you in a bit.
So here we are, we broke this down and we got the CPU fan. This motherboard is disconnected from here completely and as you can see we are going to get to this little jack right here and we are going to replace it.
Alright guys, this is the old charger; we got the new one in there and Jerry did a great job. What was happening is that you would wiggle the cable, bend it over to one side and that’s where it would go on and off. So we are ready to pop this back in place and hopefully, it should work. We’ll see you in a bit.
Wrapping up the work
Alright guys, so here is the wrap up. We got our power chord here connected and everything is good to go; make sure everything is good and check your charging if it’s charging properly as it should. And there it is, that’s what’s going on over here at PC911. Changing power jacks, changing LCDs, keyboards…you name it, bring and we’ll take care of it for you.
