Hey everybody, welcome back to another edition of Ask PC 911. And the question for today is – should I upgrade to Windows 10?

Yes, we are getting phone calls, people walking in and asking. You are seeing the little Windows logo on your bottom right hand. Actually you have probably being seeing it for awhile. But today is the release date so it is going to be available not for everyone. They are doing a I don’t know if they are calling it a rolling release. But they are going to be releasing X quantities at a time. Pretty much to have people test out the new version and then being able to get some feedback. They don’t want to just dump it out there and then wind up having a disaster on their hands.

So my recommendation on that is…

I would wait unless you want to be a guinea pig and be one of the ones that get stucked with a bad update or something like that. Your computer is down and you are going to get yourself into a headache. If you have a secondary computer or a computer where no really big deal. If it goes down and you want to be on the bleeding edge, you want to be the first one in town with Windows 10. That would be the only reason to do so. We do have one unit here with Windows 10. I have developed a preview on it. We haven’t really used it a lot and it has had a couple of bugs.

So like with any other new version be it your phone and in this case what is more buggy than Windows? I would hold off minimum I would say a month, you are not going to have a problem you are going to have a least a year to upgrade for free if you are on Windows 7 or on Windows 8. So there is really no rush you know so that’s pretty much my recommendation is no, hold off, let everybody else have some headaches and then when the coast is clear then I will let you know when to upgrade to Windows 10. See you in our next video thanks for watching.
